Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
This program accepts applications for permanent residency in Canada from workers who:
- have the skills, education and professional experience necessary to contribute to the economy of a specific Canadian province or territory,
- want to live in that province or territory, and
- want to become permanent residents of Canada.
Each Canadian province and territory has its own immigration program that target specific groups of workers who meet certain requirements.
For example, in a program stream, provinces and territories may target students, entrepreneurs, skilled workers, and semi-skilled workers.
