Home Care Workers
There are two programs that offer permanent residency to skilled workers who wish to work in home childcare or home support in Canada.
1) Home Care Worker Immigration Pilot Program (HCWIP): Childcare
For professionals involved in childcare, such as home caregivers and early childhood educators or assistants.
2) Home Care Worker Immigration Pilot (HCWIP): Home Support
For home support professionals, such as home caregivers for people with disabilities, home care assistants for the elderly, personal home care assistants, nursing assistants.
Currently, both programs are only accepting applicants who are in Canada at the moment.
Candidates from outside Canada may apply later yet can start with an initial consultation to find out their eligibility and work on meeting the requirements in the meantime.
