Express Entry
The program uses a points-based system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to rank applicants based on factors such as age, education, work experience, and proficiency in English and/or French. The highest-ranked applicants are invited to apply for permanent residency through regular draws.
The Express Entry program for obtaining permanent residency in Canada has 3 categories.
1) The Canadian Experience Category: This category is aimed at skilled workers who have work experience in Canada, in certain areas of expertise, and want to become permanent residents of Canada.
2) The Federal Skilled Worker Category is aimed at skilled workers who have work experience abroad, in certain areas of expertise, and wish to become permanent residents of Canada.
3) The Federal Skilled Technical Worker Category is aimed at workers who have qualifications and experience in a specialized technical profession and who wish to become permanent residents of Canada.
There are also other factors, including who is not eligible to apply for Canadian permanent residency through the Express Entry programs, and how the process works, which you can find out during our initial consultation.
